The goals of The Jordan Ralls
Autistic Children Foundation is by Fall of 2008, open
an afterschool center where children with autism can
come to play and learn. The center
will offer children a wide variety of activities. The
children will do art and cooking. There will be help
with homework. The children will have the opportunity
to go on outings in the community. There will be
resource center where parents can come to use computers
to search for services. There will be pamphlets and
handouts on the wall and a volunteer on hand who can answer
any questions or help the parents find needed services
in the community. The center will offer family
support groups where parents can come together to share
their experiences and their hope for the future. There
will be trained qualified staff, teachers, case managers
and administration. There will also be volunteers
and interns on to help staff.
We will strive to provide
your child with fun-filled adventures and educational
opportunities. The Jordan Ralls Foundation strongly believes
that community involvement strengthens our children's
awareness, and creates increased positive interactions
within the community.
Activities will be paired with constant learning opportunities
that will leave children feeling strong and empowered about
all that they can accomplish.
We will continue to raise funds
so that in the future we will be able to open a full
day recreation center that will sit on 3 acres of land. The
recreation center will be a lot like the after school
center but will provide many more services to the children
and their families.
